The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily is a single-player strategy game about Scarlet, a free-spirited duchess framed for assassinating the Emperor, and Lily, captain of a Stream Airship. After escaping the imperial capital, the pair declare war against the Empire. Their contrasting temperaments shape a conflict that spreads across the continent, with clearing Scarlet’s name and the duo’s fate bound up in the campaign.
Its turn-based battles make supply lines more important than holding every outpost. Connected positions support stationed units, while cutting an enemy’s line creates an opening. With limited forces facing larger numbers, players can abandon less useful positions and concentrate on an enemy general, choosing among ambushes, sieges and direct attacks. Victory requires capturing or executing enemy generals; Scarlet’s or Lily’s defeat ends the battle. The Stream Airship adds tactical options, including stalling advances, intercepting supplies and enabling captures.
The choice between capture and execution gives the strategy a narrative consequence. Captured generals can join Scarlet’s side with unique abilities and new airship options; execution instead increases Scarlet and Lily’s combat power, while the truth is lost. Allies also grow stronger through fighting, and certain winning pairings can build trust, unlock episodes and lead to cooperative skills.
