The Bus is a bus-driving simulation set in a realistically recreated, 1:1-scale Berlin. Players carry passengers along the city’s routes, passing recognizable sights such as the Brandenburg Gate and Alexanderplatz. The focus is on the working rhythm of urban service: passengers board, drivers sell tickets, and traffic must be handled while getting everyone to their destination safely.
Its play formats give the driving different contexts. Freeplay lets players choose a vehicle, line, and route, while Economy mode turns single-player driving into managing a bus company, with vehicles, staff, maintenance, repairs, contracts, and ticket sales to consider. Changing weather, seasons, a day-and-night cycle, and random events add variation to journeys. Realistic, Arcade, and Custom control modes offer different ways to approach the driving.
Multiplayer lets people team up to drive through Berlin on a line or take a discovery tour together, alongside the option to play alone. Workshop downloads, including community-made maps and repaints, and tools for creating and sharing content further support a customizable simulation experience.
