The Break-In turns burglary into an online co-op operation for up to four players. Teams enter houses, stores, or casino vaults, take whatever they can extract, and bring it to a van to sell for profit. That money can buy thief equipment for riskier jobs, giving each robbery a practical loop: get in, secure valuables, and get them out.
Getting inside and moving loot are both hands-on challenges. Ladders and climbing picks provide ways in, while the natural climbing system lets players scale drainpipes, crawl through windows, or reach a roof to scout. Airbags and pistons help move stolen items safely to the van; hammers and firecrackers can help deal with residents, and headlampshades offer a way to hide. Three classes divide responsibilities: the Infiltrator opens up a target, the Strongman handles heavy items and guards, and the Mastermind coordinates and hacks vaults.
No two missions are laid out identically: room varieties and entry points are randomized, as are the NPCs guarding a target. That makes scouting and adjusting the plan part of the heist rather than a one-time routine. The game supports VR and non-VR play, including cross-play between them, alongside single-player and online co-op.
