Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge brings Leonardo, Michelangelo, Donatello and Raphael together for a side-scrolling beat ’em up rooted in the look of the 1987 cartoon and classic TMNT games. Its story sends the Turtles after Shredder and the Foot Clan as Bebop and Rocksteady steal devices for a plan involving Krang. Manhattan, Coney Island, rooftops and sewers provide the backdrop for the fight.
Combat centers on choosing a Turtle, then using that character’s individual skills and moves to string together combos against Foot Soldiers and other foes. The game pairs familiar brawling with newer mechanics and ninja abilities, while its full-color pixel art, cartoon-inspired characters and settings give the action a deliberately vintage feel. The roster and combat emphasis make each run distinct without leaving the series’ recognizable world.
