Tactical Soccer The New Season puts the player in the coach’s seat for a turn-based soccer simulation. Rather than issuing broad instructions from the sidelines, you control all 11 players directly, shaping each move and building attacks according to your own plan. Matches unfold on a three-dimensional pitch, where the camera can be moved to inspect positioning and passing angles.
On a turn, choose a player and direct their movement or prepare them to contest a ball. In possession, they can pass, shoot or dribble; after your instructions are set, end the turn and watch your team act before the computer-controlled side responds. Individual abilities such as speed, tackling, passing and stamina give players different strengths to account for. Defending also calls for positional awareness, as you place players to block opposing runs. Fouls, offsides and penalties are part of the match, alongside different formations and men’s and women’s sides.
The game offers a single exhibition match, a knockout cup and an ongoing league championship. Exhibition play can be against the computer or another person sharing the same PC, while league seasons add player development, contracts and transfers, and coaches can shape player abilities.
