Symphony of War: The Nephilim Saga opens with a young academy graduate sent to confront a rebellion after a rogue general abducts Empress Florina. That assignment grows into a story of conflict and intrigue across Tahnra, bringing the commander into contact with allies, rivals, and other factions. Character relationships can develop into conversations, close bonds, and gameplay bonuses, tying personal connections to the wider military campaign.
This turn-based strategy RPG centers on squad command and large-scale operations. Players maneuver groups of up to nine soldiers, exploiting high ground and chokepoints, setting ambushes, and watching the weather. Battles play out automatically, so planning and positioning frame the action rather than direct control of individual attacks. Capturing towns and resources, managing morale, and removing enemy squad leaders add objectives beyond winning each engagement.
Between operations, army building offers another layer of decisions. Squads can draw on more than 50 unit classes, equip items and artifacts, and develop conscripts into elite troops; mercenaries provide another way to strengthen the force. A class-based research tree lets players specialize or broaden their troops’ capabilities.
