Survival Machine is a third-person survival adventure built around an unusual home base: a colossal vehicle that serves as fortress, homestead and transport. Players can travel solo or cooperate with friends as they cross vibrant, varied landscapes. Its sandbox world is half-randomly generated, with biomes bringing challenges and discoveries along the way, so exploration is tied to keeping the Machine ready for the next stretch of travel.
Scavenging and crafting feed directly into that journey. Players gather resources, find blueprints, unlock recipes and make equipment, tools and upgrades; they can also build and fortify structures on the Machine. Fuel keeps the vehicle moving, while customization and preparation help it handle difficult terrain and extreme weather. Away from the mobile base, exploration includes parkour challenges, combat arenas and hidden secrets, with gliders and ziplines offering ways to reach difficult places.
The day-and-night rhythm gives survival a defensive edge: gather and prepare by day, then face zombie assaults at night. Melee and ranged weapons, traps, cannons and ballistae support the effort to protect the Machine.
