Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance frames its strategy around a humanity pushed to the brink. Two years after the Infinite War, the UEF, Aeon Loyalists and Cybran face a new enemy backed by the Order. Their old divisions give way to a last alliance, setting up a campaign centered on gathering forces against extinction. The new faction is also the main threat in that single-player story, while being playable in multiplayer.
Its battlefield design emphasizes broad strategic choices rather than a narrow unit roster. More than a hundred new land, sea, air, base and experimental units let commanders address weaknesses or pursue a faction’s military doctrine. Fully realized navies, orbital weaponry and counter-intelligence technologies expand the available ways to wage war. New multiplayer maps add battlefields for those clashes, and the game’s listed formats include both single-player and multiplayer.
The campaign’s alliance premise gives the conflict a clear narrative contrast with multiplayer’s factional contest, where the new faction can join the playable lineup. Forged Alliance pairs that story with warfare on an expansive scale, connecting unit variety, naval and orbital capabilities, and strategic countermeasures in a single RTS design.
