SUPER DRAGON BALL HEROES WORLD MISSION frames its card battles around Hero Town, an alternate reality where the Dragon Ball Heroes card game is a major pastime. You create an avatar aiming to become its world champion, but the story shifts when antagonists from the virtual game world threaten the town. The avatar then enters that world and joins familiar Dragon Ball characters in an effort to restore peace.
