Summer Pockets REFLECTION BLUE is a visual novel from Key, set on Torishirojima during protagonist Takahara Hairi’s summer vacation. He travels to the island to help with his late grandmother’s belongings and encounters a group of girls, each drawn there by a different pursuit. The game’s quiet island setting and memories returning to Hairi provide the backdrop for a story about friendships and a summer he wishes could last.
Choices shape how the story develops, leading to different endings. The game also introduces new heroines and routes, alongside additional everyday scenes with friends. Its full Japanese voice support includes an exception for the protagonist, who is voiced only in certain scenes; text is available in English, Simplified Chinese, or Japanese. These narrative features make the game’s play format distinct from action-focused or competitive games.
Table tennis and other mini-games unlock as the story progresses, but players can concentrate on the visual novel without playing them. That optional diversion sits alongside the central rhythm of reading, making choices, and discovering story outcomes, rather than defining the experience as a multiplayer contest.
