StrangerZ is a free-to-play multiplayer survival horror game built around a team defending a house through the night. At the start of a match, one lobby member is randomly chosen as the Stranger; the rest play as Survivors. The setup supports lobby sizes from 1v1 to 3v1, giving the conflict a compact, uneven shape rather than a large-team format.
Survivors must last from midnight until six, working together to locate attacks and secure windows. Their shared tools include locks, spotlights and a security system, with the Stranger returning to attack after a successful defense. Playing the opposing role means choosing a window, crossing the yard undetected and using sabotage abilities, such as cutting the power, to create an opening. A round ends when the Stranger kills the Survivors or the team holds out until dawn.
The role reversal makes each match a contest of coordination and concealment, with different objectives for the house defenders and the intruder. Winning as either side earns rewards, while victory or defeat affects ZR rank points; the game also describes XP progression that unlocks equipment.
