In Stranded: Alien Dawn, a small group of survivors is marooned on an alien world, and their fate rests on the player’s decisions. This is a single-player survival sim shaped by strategic planning: keep people fed and healthy while building a place sturdy enough to withstand a harsh environment and roaming alien creatures.
Its distinctive challenge comes from juggling practical needs and unpredictable threats. Players plant, grow, harvest and hunt for food, salvage resources, research technologies, and develop a base from basic shelter into a fortified outpost. Survivors bring individual skills, abilities and traits, so managing their physical and mental wellbeing is part of the work. Random story events, hostile wildlife and adverse weather make each playthrough different, while difficult choices carry consequences for the group’s story.
The focus is on allocating resources, improving the base and responding to overlapping crises, with each run shaped by changing events and the survivors’ particular strengths and weaknesses.
