In STORY OF SEASONS: A Wonderful Life, a new homestead in Forgotten Valley becomes the setting for a life shaped by farming, relationships, and family. This reimagining of a farming classic frames progress across generations: the player settles into the community, finds a partner, and watches their child grow as the years pass.
The farm combines crop cultivation and animal care with practical ways to use what it produces. Crops and livestock can support recipes, gifts, or sales at a market stall, while hybrid crops, newly discovered animals, and upgradeable facilities offer further ways to develop the homestead. Friendship with the valley’s residents is another part of the routine, with events that reveal more about its cast. Players can customise their character, choose a male, female, or non-binary identity, and pursue any of the eight eligible bachelors and bachelorettes.
Its listed play format is single-player, putting the focus on an individual, ongoing story rather than shared multiplayer activity. The documented design follows a family through changing years, making the farm and the player’s choices part of a broader life story.
