Storebound is a co-op puzzle horror game set in a cursed megastore caught between dream and nightmare. Its campaign unfolds across six episodes, with the setting shifting to a different store era and area every two chapters. That changing backdrop gives the horror a distinctive frame: the familiar layout of a shopping complex becomes a place of strange logic, lurking threats, and puzzles that stand between a group and escape.
Progress depends on communication as much as exploration. Players search for items and clues, then use proximity voice chat to share discoveries and work out where to go next. Walkie-talkies provide a way to keep in touch over longer distances, while cutting communications can help a group stay silent when the store’s after-hours presence is nearby. The game also describes traps, aberrations, a sanity system that can turn players against their friends, and immersive 3D audio as part of its unsettling design.
Storebound is listed with single-player and online co-op modes, but its central design is built around solving the megastore’s puzzles together. Its episode-based campaign and shifting environments frame that teamwork as a continuing journey through the megastore.
