Sprocket is a tank-design simulation built around the engineering choices behind armoured vehicles. Its dedicated designer lets players shape hulls and turrets, set armour thickness, and create cannons, while accounting for the space and weight those decisions consume. The setting spans design challenges from the First World War through the interwar period and the early, middle, and late stages of the Second World War.
The design work reaches beyond a vehicle’s silhouette. Players arrange crew and functional exterior parts, build engines and transmissions, set fuel capacity, and configure tracks and suspension for goals such as crossing trenches or climbing mountains. Combat uses simulated powertrains and damage to internal components rather than hit points: a tank remains in action while its critical internals function. Poor layout can therefore matter as much as the protection of the armour.
Sprocket’s scenarios put teams of custom tanks into battle across varied environments. A vehicle’s cost can affect whether it fights with a team, and when it is destroyed, the player continues by controlling an ally.
