Spoko and Poko follows two beetle friends on a simple rescue-and-return errand: get a ball to their cottage, collect diamonds along the way, and make it back to their farm. Relaxed Spoko and angry Poko give the adventure a playful character, while the route home supplies its through-line. The game is presented as an arcade experience, with obstacles and changing level themes shaping the trip.
The central action pairs Poko with a cart: players manipulate the beetle to bounce the ball, then navigate the hazards and hunt for treasures. Early stages emphasize racing for diamonds and gold, but the design shifts into a succession of arcade styles. Later sections draw on pinball and Arkanoid, alongside alien battles, black holes, UFOs, and a mine leading to a golden temple. That changing sequence makes variety, rather than one unchanging obstacle course, a defining part of the game’s appeal.
The challenge also comes from objects that alter the ball’s progress: candies replicate on contact and make play harder, while pink birds offer diamonds and should be smashed. Between the talking beetles, treasure collection, and shifting arcade scenarios, the game frames its trip home as a lighthearted but increasingly varied test of timing and navigation.
