SPARTA 2035 is a turn-based tactics game set in an alternate-future Africa, where the radical Daamat organization has seized territory and an elite mercenary unit called Sparta is drawn into the conflict. You command its fighters on dangerous missions, balancing the action-movie spectacle of the premise with decisions that can shape the region’s future. The design pairs squad combat with strategic management rather than treating each operation as an isolated encounter.
Missions put four fighters under your command, with objectives ranging from rescuing prisoners and capturing commanders to clearing fortified positions and planting explosives. Combat is built around deliberate positioning: there are no random misses, while cover and calculation matter, bullets are simulated individually, and friendly fire is possible. Destructible environments and verticality add tactical considerations, and the five soldier classes have distinct battlefield roles. The battles’ high lethality makes a single accurate hit potentially fatal for a fighter.
Between operations, a seized cargo ship serves as Sparta’s base. You can recruit and treat operatives, build compartments, acquire equipment, gather intelligence, and pursue contracts and diplomacy. Relationships with factions affect mission access and specialized gear, while your choices can alter the balance of power and open different possibilities for Africa. The contrast between precise, high-stakes firefights and longer-term base and faction management gives SPARTA 2035 its distinctive command-focused identity.
