Souldiers begins with a strange afterlife detour: soldiers fighting for their kingdom arrive in Terragaya, a mystical land on the fringes of the afterlife, despite never having died. Their goal is to find the Guardian and move on to the next world. That mystery gives the adventure a clear destination while its sprawling, handcrafted landscape invites exploration along the way.
Combat is built around melee choices rather than a single fixed approach. Players slash, parry and dodge against a changing roster of enemies, then upgrade skills and equipment to shape a preferred fighting style. Environmental puzzles and an expanding moveset add another layer, asking players to work out how to cross obstacles as well as how to handle the next encounter. Tough bosses, treasure and secret pathways give the interconnected world reasons to reward careful searching.
The game is categorized as single-player, so its play format is a focused solo adventure, not a shared session whose player count reflects a group in-game. Its distinctive appeal comes from combining action and exploration with vibrant, detailed pixel art inspired by 16-bit games.
