Solo Leveling: ARISE OVERDRIVE follows Sung Jinwoo as he pursues the title of the world’s strongest hunter. Its story draws on the webtoon’s original narrative while adding adventures made for the game, giving the action a character-driven frame rather than presenting combat as a series of disconnected encounters.
Fights hinge on weapon choice, skill combinations and timing: Jinwoo can evade monster attacks with Extreme Evasion, then answer with a counterattack after a well-timed parry. A branching skill tree offers eight job advancements, while the Monarch Awakening system develops his shadow powers for different combat situations. Defeated monsters also yield items for crafting weapons, including Kasaka’s Venom Fang and the Demon King’s Daggers, tying equipment to the creatures he battles.
The game supports single-player play as well as online co-op, including raids for up to four players against powerful Commanders. In those raids, players can fight as Jinwoo or choose a party of other hunters.
