Solarix is a science-fiction stealth-horror game set aboard an interstellar research station devastated by infection. You play an electrical engineer trying to contain the disease while surviving the remaining crew and the strain on his own mind. Rather than leaning only on sudden scares, the game builds its horror around unease, insecurity, and desperation. Its story unfolds across twelve chapters, with characters intended to add psychological depth to the survival-horror setting.
Approaches are flexible: the engineer can avoid detection entirely, knock enemies out, or use weapons when stealth gives way to combat. Tools and surroundings support those choices. A tazer is suited to incapacitating patrols, throwable objects can draw enemies away, and shooting lights can create darkness; ammunition, meanwhile, must be found through exploration. Hacking, puzzles, and environmental interaction add other ways to make progress, while cameras, turrets, robots, drones, human foes, and monsters bring different threats to encounters.
That mix makes Solarix a single-player experience shaped around one person’s decisions and pace, rather than a shared match whose activity depends on other players.
