Snezhinka: Sentinel Girls 2 casts its namesake as a fixed-term employee of Blue Peacock Co., a private military company. After losing contact with her older sister, who serves in the elite Molten Iron Squadron, Snezhinka heads to the front to bring her home. The action unfolds in a 2.5D dystopian world where hostile mechs arrive in waves, making the personal rescue mission inseparable from the work of holding the line.
Combat uses a compact set of actions: move, aim, shoot and deploy gadgets, with either a controller or mouse and keyboard. Survival also depends on money. After taxes and other expenses come out of Snezhinka’s meager salary, the remainder can go toward cards and developing her combat capabilities. That link between precarious contract work and preparation gives the battlefield economy a specific place in the premise, rather than presenting combat as shooting alone.
A robust story mode sits alongside two challenge modes with online rankings, while a collection lets players revisit cutscenes and examine character and weapon information. Its documented format is distinct from a multiplayer-focused game, even though online rankings feature in its challenge modes.
