Slasher’s Keep casts you as a prisoner abandoned in the depths of a towering fortress, where escape means confronting the dangers of its dungeons. The game is a first-person roguelite built around close-quarters fighting and loot, with a starkly playful visual identity: cel-shaded models sit alongside hand-drawn sprites. Its premise gives each descent a clear purpose, while the keep’s traps and hidden secrets make the environment more than a corridor between fights.
Combat emphasizes varied melee attacks, including swings and thrusts, alongside precise parrying. The inventory sack is also a weapon: players can smack enemies into spikes or chasms. Different foes bring different abilities, and magic wands offer a measure of ranged combat. Randomly generated items can grant stats and abilities, while drag-and-drop crafting adds another way to engage with the equipment found along the way. Two characters are playable, with others to unlock.
The dungeon levels are randomly generated, and death leads to a new dungeon; the game also describes growing stronger with each run. With traps, secrets, loot, and combat variations woven into the descent, Slasher’s Keep centers its challenge on adapting to each fresh attempt.
