Skigill is a single-player bullet-hell roguelike survivor about adventurers trapped in an otherworldly pocket dimension. The battlefield is dominated by the Skigill, a vast magical diagram whose nodes grant stat increases, weapons, and perks. Enemies arrive in waves, and survival depends not only on fighting them but also on choosing where to travel across the sigil and which rewards to claim. Since the whole diagram cannot be conquered at once, route planning is part of the action.
Each hero begins with a distinct weapon, perk, and starting position, shaping their initial approach. The Strongman turns enemies into explosive projectiles, the Sorcerer’s lightning jumps between foes, and the Fox uses a hookshot to gather resources while piercing enemies. Reaching another character’s area can hybridize those starting strategies. Chests offer weapons, while perks and node effects can reinforce a build; a separate meta-sigil adds permanent stat improvements and unlockables as players progress.
Runs center on surviving fifteen minutes of enemy waves, with harder difficulties available through progression. The game also leaves discovery to the player: it has no tutorial or text, inviting experimentation with the sigil’s layout and combinations of weapons and perks.
