Sketchy’s Contract is a sci-fi horror looting game set in a mysterious asteroid belt, where a strange broadcast draws a traveler toward planets full of valuable materials and alien threats. Its premise pairs danger with an unusually broad set of activities: expeditions can involve searching for loot, gathering resources, fighting creatures, and even helping to run a burger shop. The game supports solo play as well as co-op, giving players a choice about whether to face those excursions alone or with others.
A defining decision comes at the end of a planetary outing: leave, or risk staying through the Night Shift. Remaining means a chance at more valuable loot, but also deadlier enemies and the possibility of a team wipe. Exploration has its own progression loop, with security-level access crates revealing codes to more difficult areas and better rewards. Loot contributes to experience, which can be spent on suit attributes such as health, attack power, and stamina. That blend of scavenging, combat, and escalating risk gives the co-op format a concrete purpose beyond simply sharing a setting.
The game also folds longer-term rewards into a burger shop, where restocking certain loot builds progress toward perks, and into an arcade offering mini games. Credits and coins from completed contracts can go toward skins and furniture, while more than one hundred unlockables let players decorate an apartment and ship. An optional linear story follows quests to find Memory Fragments, though the game is not presented as story-driven.
