SimCity 3000 Unlimited is a city-building simulation about creating and controlling an urban empire. Its expanded building selection brings together familiar SimCity 3000 structures with new Asian and European building sets, giving players a broad palette for shaping a metropolis. More than 95 world landmarks offer additional ways to give a city a distinctive character.
The design pairs open-ended construction with defined challenges. Players can tackle 13 scenarios, including one focused on reunifying East and West Berlin, or use the SimCity Scenario Creator to make their own. Building Architect Plus adds another creative tool, letting players create unique structures for their cities. This mix of city planning and scenario-based play gives the game its particular balance of freeform building and directed objectives.
Disasters add a further test of urban management: the game includes threats such as toxic clouds, locusts, space junk and whirlpools, with citizens to protect as crises unfold.
