Shift is a puzzle game built around connecting figures into lines. Its central twist is the yellow shifter: use one to change the line’s direction as you work to link as many figures as possible. Longer lines earn more points, giving each connection a clear scoring goal.
The board combines several element types, including blank spaces, connectors, shifters, locked shifters and bonus connectors. These pieces make the task more than simply drawing the longest route, since the direction-changing pieces are part of the puzzle’s layout. The game also offers multiple difficulty levels, represented by grids ranging from 7×7 to 13×13.
Shift includes ranking levels as well as randomly generated levels, pairing a structured option with boards assembled anew. That range gives its line-building premise more than one format without changing the core focus on connecting figures and steering a line with shifters. A soundtrack accompanies the puzzle play, rounding out a compact design centered on spatial planning and score-seeking connections.
