Shattered Horizon casts its first-person battles in near-Earth space, 40 years in the future, after a catastrophic lunar explosion scatters rocky debris around Earth. Combatants fight over hollowed-out asteroids, lunar fragments and the wreckage of the International Space Station. That setting is more than scenery: the game’s defining design choice is to remove gravity from the battlefield, turning the surrounding terrain into surfaces players can approach and attack from different directions.
Movement and positioning shape the firefights. A rocket pack lets players fly freely through space, while the ability to land on any surface opens routes for surprising attacks. Tactical grenades add options to disable electronics, obstruct sightlines or drive enemies out of cover. These familiar shooter tools operate in a fully three-dimensional arena, where adapting conventional FPS tactics is part of the challenge.
The game supports multiplayer battles as well as single-player play against bots, and its Last Stand pack makes all game modes playable solo. The game’s appeal rests on combining space combat, unrestricted movement and tactical fights across irregular terrain, rather than on a conventional ground-based arena.
