Shape Shifter is a casual, indie single-player game organized around avoiding red obstacles and responding to changing challenges. Its four modes give that central idea distinct scoring rules, from straightforward jumping to a combined, more demanding format. The design’s emphasis is on adapting your movement to what each mode puts in front of you.
Jump Mode awards a point for each jump while you avoid red blocks. Wave Mode shifts the reward to leaving those blocks behind, while Clean Mode introduces green elements that can push them away, awarding points for each one touched. Combo Mode brings the other modes together in a faster, harder experience. Rather than presenting one fixed scoring loop, Shape Shifter varies the relationship between movement, obstacles, and points across its modes.
Its distinct modes offer different ways to engage with the same obstacle-focused premise, with Combo Mode expressly designed as the more intense combination.
