ShapeHero Factory trades direct combat for factory planning. Rather than wielding a sword or casting spells, players place shapes on conveyor belts to assemble small, self-operating heroes. The premise is deliberately odd: these improvised units must defend a Portal against swarming pests and brute squads while threats grow stranger and stronger.
Its tactical choices begin with simple combinations. A circle and triangle can make a soldier, while a circle and square can produce a tank; after construction, heroes fight independently, leaving players to make decisions around their production and defense. Progress also brings magical artifacts and factory upgrades. Different playable characters, called Masters, offer distinct hero types and building strategies, and experimentation can unlock Arcane Knowledge, described as permanent upgrades. The result centers on shaping a force and refining a production approach rather than issuing orders to individual troops.
Its appeal rests on the interplay between conveyor-belt crafting, autonomous battles and choices about which Master’s approach to pursue, as the factory faces increasingly formidable enemies.
