Separated Demo sets two friends in connected houses, where solving mysterious puzzles together is the route to escape. A blind entity moves between the buildings, turning the shared setting into a threat rather than a safe place to regroup. The premise makes cooperation central: each player’s situation matters to the other’s chance of getting out.
Its distinctive tension comes from sound. The entity can hear, so players must stay quiet when they detect it, while co-op voice chat is described as essential and also triggers the ghost. That puts communication in an uneasy balance: friends need to coordinate, yet speaking carries risk. If one player is captured and locked in a cage, the other has to try to free them before becoming a target too.
The game is presented here as a co-op demo, with online co-op listed among its categories.
