On a distant planet, a virus outbreak unleashes a growing zombie horde, leaving the highly armed SAS as humanity’s line of defense. SAS: Zombie Assault 4 frames that premise as action across seven story-driven maps, each with varying victory conditions. The threat is more than a mass of targets: its 17 zombie types have distinct attacks and behaviors, can develop new powers as you progress, and are joined by boss zombies with their own dangerous assaults.
Players choose among Assault, Medic, and Heavy Gunner, then shape each class through its own upgrade tree and customizable skills. A loadout combines a pistol with two rifle-class weapons, while armor, grenades, turrets, special ammunition, and weapon augmentations offer further ways to prepare. Strongboxes hold weapons and armor, and the range of equipment supports different approaches to fighting the undead. These choices give the game a character-building layer alongside its screen-filling combat.
SAS: Zombie Assault 4 can be played solo or in cooperative sessions with up to four players. In co-op, players can use their chosen skills and weapons together, coordinate turret placements, and create temporary cover by moving physics objects.
