SAO Utils 2: Progressive is a desktop utility built around a customizable, Full-Dive 3D app launcher. Its central idea is to make launching and arranging tools part of a themed interface, rather than limiting the experience to a conventional list of shortcuts. The game listing also presents it as an extensible platform, with a pluggable architecture intended to accommodate developer-made extensions.
The launcher can be called up by holding the left and right mouse buttons and sliding, or by using a two-finger gesture on a tablet. A menu editor lets users arrange items and drag files in from an external file explorer. Beyond launching, desktop widgets can display images, web pages, animation and notes, alongside system or custom status information. Some configurations support scripting, and users can inspect or modify the source code of widgets and themes. Workshop sharing rounds out the design with icons, sound effects, widgets and launcher themes.
