In Running Gods, the powers of Olympus have been stolen, and players take the role of a god on an adventure through emblematic worlds. Its premise leads into a brisk action-adventure built around a roster of gods with unusual abilities, rather than a purely story-focused journey. The game lists more than seven gods and seven environments, giving its mythological setup a colorful, arcade-like frame.
Combat and disruption are central to its play: gods can set traps, cast lightning, freeze or stun rivals, and throw friends out of the action. The multiplayer mode is designed for up to four players, with two to four Xbox controllers required. Shared-screen PvP makes that local contest the game’s clearest social format, while its action, adventure and casual labels point to a blend of movement, competition and accessible play.
Running Gods also includes a single-player option and a Speedrun mode to unlock, alongside its multiplayer challenge. A wacky commentator and an original soundtrack add a playful presentation to the divine rivalry.
