Rogue Lords casts you as the Devil, returning from exile to take revenge on the Demon Hunters. The story sets up a contest for influence: the Sanctua Lumen has grown powerful, and your campaign to reclaim the human world hinges on ancient artefacts. Rather than making the Devil only a figure in the plot, the game gives him a role in shaping how a run unfolds.
You assemble a team of three Disciples drawn from figures such as Dracula, Bloody Mary and Frankenstein’s Creature. Their distinct abilities invite combinations, while souls can be exchanged for skills, upgrades and relics. Battles are turn-based, but the defining twist is the Devil’s power to alter parts of the game interface by sacrificing health, including manipulating health bars and status effects. Interactive events also let you influence the balance of power, making tactical choices matter beyond combat.
That mix of team-building, turn-based fights and run-based progression gives Rogue Lords a different rhythm from a competitive or cooperative multiplayer game.
