River Town Factory combines factory building with life in a historical world touched by future technology. The central premise is to repair a time machine while introducing ancient society to products made with modern knowledge. Players can plan production from wooden planks through to circuit boards, unlock technologies such as silicon purification and photovoltaic power, and extend their industrial reach across the continent with teleportation stations.
Its workshop is only one part of the design. The game also lets players choose when to work, explore, or pursue relationships, with characters whose schedules change through the seasons. Social play includes building connections with historical figures and pursuing friendships or romances; a chosen partner can move into the workshop and help there. Crafting reaches beyond factory goods to medicines, weapons, clothing, and dishes, while a Heavenly Workshop displays the player’s products to visitors.
Exploration and combat give this single-player RPG and simulation a broader rhythm than production planning alone. Players can visit villages, investigate ancient realms, seek treasures, and take on bandits, while a combat system pairs evasion with attacks and offers a range of martial arts techniques to master.
