R.I.P. casts players as elite employees of a company confronting corrosion viruses and zombie outbreaks. Its screen-filling hordes and relentless waves set up a survivor-style action game, but the premise is only half the pitch: the workday also revolves around searching the ruins for equipment and shaping a stronger combat build.
Combat pairs distinct weapon styles, including rapid-fire SMGs, shotguns and rocket launchers, with elemental effects such as Burn, Freeze and Shock. Between fights, players can collect weapons and tactical gear, recast item stats, pursue set bonuses from Legend Contracts, and combine active skills with passive blessings. The resulting design ties moment-to-moment crowd clearing to loot decisions and build experimentation, rather than treating each run as only a test of survival.
The game describes a classic survivor Rogue mode alongside Void Spire, where builds saved from standard maps can be taken into progressively harder floors. Spire runs offer better loot and Divine Tech upgrades, while Contribution Points persist after failure and can fund stat upgrades and talent-tree abilities.
