Resonite is a customizable online universe built around socializing, exploration, and making things with other people. Players can meet in desktop or VR, communicate through low-latency voice or text, and shape their presence with custom avatars. Sessions can be public or private, with access controlled by the host, while multi-world presence lets users move between worlds much like switching browser tabs.
Creation is woven into the social experience rather than set apart as a conventional editor. Players can modify objects, avatars, and worlds in-game, use development tools ranging from brushes to procedural meshes, and collaborate in real time. Creations can be saved, and the inventory lets players bring items into worlds when they have permission. Resonite also supports custom locomotion, world discovery, and synchronized sharing of pictures, music, and video, giving gatherings room to become collaborative projects or casual activities.
Its play format spans solo use, multiplayer, and co-op, including online and LAN co-op. The game’s central idea is an editable social space, where communication and user-created content are part of the same experience.
