In Rayman Origins, the Glade of Dreams is under threat from Darktoons, and Rayman is called on to save it. He joins Globox and two Teensies on a quest to restore peace. The game presents this story through colorful, side-scrolling 2D platforming, reviving familiar characters while introducing new faces and environments.
The platforming adventure mixes jumping and exploration with action, adventure, and beat-’em-up elements. As the heroes progress, they gain abilities such as swimming, diving, and the HairlyCopter, opening routes through its levels. Returning to earlier stages can reveal new paths and secrets, while challenging boss encounters add another test beyond ordinary platforming. Its distinctive 2D art brings together a world of more than 100 characters and 12 environments.
Rayman can be played solo, or with up to three friends in jump-in, jump-out co-op as Globox and the Teensies. Friends may leave without interrupting the others’ progress, making this a flexible shared adventure as well as a single-player platformer.
