Raging Loop is a psychological horror visual novel set in Yasumizu, a secluded Japanese village sealed off by a heavy mist. Haruaki Fusaishi arrives in the remote mountain settlement and becomes entangled in the local “feast,” an ominous tradition tied to ancient gods and a werewolf bent on revenge. The village’s isolation gives the story its pressure-cooker setting: the threat comes from within a community that cannot simply leave.
Its branching narrative makes choices and their consequences central to play. A flowchart helps track decisions, while the ability to rewind lets players revisit earlier moments and explore different outcomes. Deaths can reveal new information and award Keys that open further paths, turning failure into a way to investigate the killer’s identity and the characters’ motives. Haruaki’s awareness of an inescapable loop also shapes the premise: knowledge gathered across repeated tragedies becomes part of his struggle.
Completing the story unlocks Revelation Mode, which adds access to characters’ inner thoughts and new scenes that deepen their motivations. This combination of branching routes, revisited decisions, and narrative revelations defines Raging Loop as a single-player experience rather than a shared-session game.
