Puzzle Pirates turns pirate life into a collection of hands-on challenges. Rather than treating sailing as a backdrop, it makes activities such as sailing, gunning and hauling treasure into distinct puzzles. The broader voyage unfolds across an ocean with treasure, Brigand Kings and monsters, giving those tasks a shared setting and purpose.
More than 20 puzzles and mini-games cover exploits ranging from swordfighting and shipbuilding to foraging and digging for buried treasure. Players can sail with friends aboard their own ship, form crews under a Pirate Flag, and hunt sea monsters or seek out realms such as the Haunted Seas and Cursed Isles. The design also extends beyond voyages: booty can fund trading, while players can run shops producing weapons, ships and other goods, or work toward governing an island.
