Puzzle Ball turns a straightforward objective into a route-planning puzzle: guide a ball from the starting point to the finish while trying to preserve as many points as possible. Obstacles such as swings, pendulums and bridges complicate the path, and changing the ball’s material can significantly alter the route. That combination makes navigation, rather than speed alone, central to each level.
Scoring adds pressure to those decisions. Your starting points diminish as play continues, while bonuses along the way can boost the final result. Finishing with the most points establishes a level record, and new records also contribute to a global player rating.
Creation is another defining part of Puzzle Ball’s design. Its level editor lets players build and publish their own stages, with other players able to rate those creations; those ratings feed into a Top Builders List. Alongside the records and global standings, this makes the game not just a sequence of authored obstacles but a platform for sharing and judging player-designed routes.
