Pummel Party is built around competitive social chaos: players race through hazardous board terrain, gather weapons and items, and use them against their friends. Its comedy comes from a deliberately absurd arsenal, ranging from a Punching Glove to a Remote Controlled Eggplant, with tools meant to disrupt rivals rather than simply decorate the board.
The board game is only part of the contest. A wide selection of minigames shifts the action into brief challenges, from knocking opponents into an abyss in Snowy Spin to searching for treasure in Sandy Search or passing off a bomb in Explosive Exchange. Players who want those compact contests without the board can choose Minigame Mode and jump straight into them, giving the game two distinct ways to structure a session.
Pummel Party supports play online or locally on the same screen, with room for one to eight players; bots can also fill out a roster or provide practice.
