Project Winter is a multiplayer survival game built around a deceptively simple question: who among the stranded group can be trusted? Survivors need to work together to withstand the frozen wilderness and escape, while hidden traitors pursue the opposite goal. Because both sides share the same social space, cooperation is necessary even as suspicion shapes every conversation and decision.
Survivors gather materials by cutting trees, breaking rocks, and harvesting berries and herbs, then use what they find to repair objectives and restore the cabin radio. Completing the objectives lets them call for a rescue vehicle. Traitors, meanwhile, know who their fellow conspirators are and can use private radios, crates, and hatches to disrupt the escape without exposing themselves. Proximity voice, radio channels, text chat, and emotes give players several ways to communicate, bluff, or coordinate.
The game offers streamlined Cabin Fever and more demanding Classic, alongside the option to customize rules. Each match asks players to balance practical teamwork with the possibility that an apparent ally is working against them.
