Primal Carnage is an online multiplayer shooter set on a remote island hit by a dinosaur outbreak. Human mercenaries are dispatched to reclaim the island, take control of abandoned facilities and secure classified objectives; players can instead join the opposing side as prehistoric predators. This two-sided premise makes the fight for survival a contest between armed humans and dinosaurs.
The asymmetrical design gives each side a distinct roster and viewpoint: five human classes use varied weapons and utilities, while five playable dinosaurs have their own skills and abilities. Humans play in first person, and dinosaurs in third person. The game lists nine maps with large, open environments. In “Get to the Chopper,” humans must fight through the dinosaur horde to reach their escape. These details frame its PvP as class-oriented combat with different roles on either side, rather than a symmetrical shooter.
The count relates to participation in this specific multiplayer experience, whose identity rests on its opposing rosters, differing perspectives and objective-driven island conflict.
