Prehistoric Hunt frames dinosaur hunting as a contest of preparation and risk: players pursue rare animals to complete contracts, but the predator may turn the tables. Its roster spans land, water and air, and each species has its own behavior and characteristics. That gives the hunt a broader focus than simply finding a target, with the environment and the animals’ interactions part of the challenge.
The setting ranges across three large islands, from tropical jungle and open plains to high mountains. Dynamic weather and a full day-night cycle shape the wilderness, while players can travel on foot, swim or fast travel and discover locations and story notes. A selection of fifteen weapons and utility tools, including callers and a range finder, supports different approaches to tracking and taking a shot. After a successful hunt, customizable lodge rooms can display full-sized trophies, and trophy shots preserve memories of expeditions.
The game supports solo play as well as multiplayer for up to twelve players, with co-op also listed among its categories. Its blend of wildlife simulation, contract hunting and trophy collecting defines the experience across those modes.
