Pratfall turns a dog rescue into a hazardous descent: your best friend has fallen into a hole beneath a dog park, and you must venture into the caves to bring them back. The setup takes a playful premise into dangerous territory, where traps, injuries and gravity complicate the search. The missing dogs are not limited to one companion, adding a rescue goal to a game built around watching out for the people alongside you.
Exploration combines environmental hazards with improvised problem-solving. Players can dig with a pickaxe or drill, use ziplines to cross crevasses, and gather food to recover from injuries; flares help light dark passages. Destructible terrain and interactive items make the caves part of the challenge, while bombs and other odd items contribute to the game’s deliberately chaotic tone. Runs differ across three procedurally generated biomes, so the route and obstacles are not presented as a fixed journey.
Pratfall supports solo play as well as online co-op, with proximity voice chat and the option to catch or revive fallen friends. Its cooperative format makes coordination part of the rescue, but also leaves room for slapstick mishaps and mischief.
