Portal Reloaded is a community-made mod for Portal 2, set in a secluded, long-forgotten Aperture Science testing track. Its premise follows a test subject awakened from stasis by an automated AI and tasked with completing an unusual course. The mod builds on Portal’s familiar spatial puzzles, but adds a second timeline as a central part of its design.
Its Triple Portal Device opens the familiar blue and orange portals, plus a green time portal connecting the present to a version of reality 20 years in the future. Solving the puzzles means shifting between those timelines as well as moving through space, creating challenges that call for thinking across four dimensions. The mod features 25 puzzles, custom voice lines and music, with its design aimed at players already familiar with the series.
Portal Reloaded also includes a cooperative update with 20 puzzles designed for two partners. One player places regular portals while the other handles time portals, making coordination part of navigating the linked spaces and timelines. The cooperative puzzles can be played online or locally through split screen. A copy of Portal 2 is required to use the mod.
