PLATiNA :: LAB pairs lane-based rhythm action with a story set in a Data World mysteriously “encrypted.” You play as a Decoder working with researchers AiRING, Bambi, and Cake to investigate what lies behind the crisis. Its characters are DBs, presented with Live2D animation and Korean voice acting, while play can also deepen each DB’s Affinity and unlock rewards.
At the center, notes fall through lanes and must be hit in time with the music. Tracks offer 4LINES or 6LINES play, with EASY, HARD, and OVER difficulty options; 4PLUS and 6PLUS add two extra Plus Notes at the sides for a more demanding pattern. The soundtrack spans styles from Vocaloid and anime pop to metal and jazz fusion, mixing licensed selections with original tracks made for the game.
That blend of score-focused play, character bonds, quests, and story gives PLATiNA :: LAB a different context from a purely competitive rhythm title. The Friends System is described as coming soon, so it should not be mistaken for a confirmed current feature.
