Plantera centers on building a garden and gradually filling it with plants, bushes, trees, and animals. As the garden expands, round blue helpers arrive to gather items and harvest crops. The appeal is in shaping a small, productive space while deciding how much of its upkeep to handle yourself.
Players can pluck trees and harvest plants directly, or leave those jobs to the helpers while they watch the garden or invest in more growth. Those helpers continue working when the player is away, with gold waiting on a return. Garden life is not entirely peaceful: troublesome critters can invade, and players can hunt them out or invest in a guard dog. Gaining levels unlocks additional plants, bushes, trees, and animals, giving expansion a steady progression loop.
Its single-player format makes Plantera a personal garden-management experience rather than a shared-world activity.
