Planetbase is a strategy game about turning a small group of space settlers into a functioning outpost on a remote planet. You act as the base’s architect and manager, directing colonists to build the facilities they need to survive. Its central challenge is not simply expansion: oxygen, food, and water must remain available in an environment where a serious setback can threaten the settlement.
The work spans linked systems. Colonists gather energy, extract water, mine and process materials, grow hydroponic vegetables, and produce food through synthesized Vitromeat. You can set up manufacturing chains, manage immigration to bring in colonists with useful skills, and make bots to take on arduous tasks. Solar and wind power are options where conditions permit, while meteors, sandstorms, solar flares, and intruders put pressure on the base. Four planets offer different conditions and rising difficulty, giving each settlement a distinct environmental challenge.
This is a single-player management experience, not a shared world in which a crowd of users builds one colony together.
